Not daunted by their own economic struggles, local school leaders had positive words and proactive approaches to share as well. Among the stand outs was Dr. DiGiorgio expressing Winthrop’s commitment to spur business development in Rock Hill, and the possibility of Winthrop winning a bid for the Big South Tournament. If chosen, the event would be held in Rock Hill.

Established as a community collaborative to help parents become full partners in their children’s education, Parent University of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is facing mounting communication and course management challenges with the 159 schools they support. Overview

Hive students, as part of an ongoing web video marketing project highlighting American Leadership Forum (ALF) – Charlotte Region, recorded a rather unusual round table discussion between ALF Fellows. Typically, when leaders from organizations like Presbyterian Hospital, Duke Energy, and Mecklenburg County Government gather together, conversations are focused on overcoming public and private sector obstacles rather than personal ones. At this particular round table, however, local business leaders found themselves telling their stories of personal growth and achievement from a shared Outward Bound Wilderness Experience.

Results

The web marketing video captures how breaking down barriers, getting out of a comfort zone, and learning how behavior helps or doesn’t help others were all part of the experience and lessons learned during the five day adventure. As part of their ALF Leadership program, John McGillicuddy, GM – Mecklenburg County Government, D. Dontae Latson, Dir. – Behavioral Health Services Presbyterian Hospital of Greater Charlotte, Carol Hardison, CEO – Crisis Assistance Ministry, Vincent Davis, Dir. of Smart Energy Community Projects – Duke Energy, and others, spent five days in the wilderness.  Jason Broadwater, President – RevenFlo Web Team and ALF Fellow stated that in the wilderness our titles are completely meaningless. Stripped of their urban comforts and professional identities, participants got to the core of leadership – helping someone else achieve a goal they could not otherwise accomplished on their own, and, applauding their success.

York County Bar Association (YCBA) located in Rock Hill, SC was interested in providing a “search by specialty ” function on their website as both a public service, and, as a means to market their members. To satisfy both needs, RevenFlo Web Team created a data base of local attorneys and their special area of interests, then designed a user interface for the public. The new website design feature serves to market YCBA members by connecting them with specific public needs.

The York County Bar Association (YCBA) is a professional organization supporting local attorneys through communication, on-going education, special events, and regularly scheduled meetings in Rock Hill, SC. The association also provides communication between YCBA members and the South Carolina Bar.

The working relationship between RevenFlo Web Team and the York County Bar Association (YCBA) began several years ago. Designing the organization’s seal was the first order of business. This was quickly followed by a website design and development. YCBA’s website was initially developed to facilitate internal management and communication. Overtime, YCBA recognized a greater potential for their website —to double as a public communication/marketing tool, and to give members the ability to access and update their professional information. Expanding the website to include a search by specialty as well as member management capability would not only help market their members’ services, it would also provide a helpful service to community.

Nature of the Solution

The Internet marketing professionals at RevenFlo created a searchable database identifying attorneys by practice or specialty. The feature allows visitors to the site an easy way to find an attorney who specializes in their particular area of need. The new database also gives individual York County Bar Association members the ability to manage their professional information. A login portal allows members to create, update, and manage their professional information as needed.

Results

The improved web design has been well received. While the York County Bar Association (YCBA) website has been providing its members a marketing platform by listing their names and affiliations for several years it did not allow for individual member management. Now, with the enhanced web design feature, members have control over the accuracy of their professional information giving them an improved opportunity to generate leads.
