Country Inn & Suites found that their competitors were showing up in more places than they were. Because hotels rely heavily on third party sites for increased click through rates, there is a heightened priority to show up on sites like Orbitz, Expedia, and Travelocity.

Nature of the Solution

RevenFlo’s Web Team investigated all important and relevant third party sites to see if Country Inn & Suites was showing up, where they ranked in comparison to their competitors and how we could increase their presence on the sites if necessary. RevenFlo also conducted a site audit for their main, looking for possible site optimizing improvements.

After investigating a number of Third Party Sites, RevenFlo found that advertising programs with Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia, as well as some others would produce the most presence for Country Inn & Suites Rock Hill. Upon client approval, we were able to start up Cost-Per-Click programs with Travelocity, Orbitz, and Expedia as well as sign up for business listings with Trip Advisor and The Travel Series. The site audit showed a couple areas including the “Local Attractions” page and the “Local Area” page that could be improved. RevenFlo communicated with the site owner, as well as Country Inn & Suites Corporate to improve those pages. Pictures were also taken and updated in order to improve the hotels web appearance as well as to show off their newly renovated space.

The Result

Country Inn & Suites Rock Hill now shows up amongst competitors on important third party sites they were not showing up on previously.  They are experiencing higher rates of booking via third party sites and are pleased with the improvement in placement.  They now have a more up to date site which features more relevant attractions, restaurants, and business parks.

CCENT recently hired RevenFlo’s Web Team to update their site. Their updated site is a clean and professional representation of CCENT.

Not only was this program beneficial to the RHEDC itself, but it also helped to change student opinion of Rock Hill, specifically Old Town.  Brenda Pineiro-Rodriguez states, ““I used to think that Rock Hill had nothing to offer. I figured that I would just finish my degree at York Tech and move out of Rock Hill. Becoming a student of The Hive opened my eyes to all the different types of things Rock Hill has to offer. When Jason assigned me to work on the Rock Hill Economic Development project I became real fascinated with Riverwalk and all the future plans Rock Hill has for that location. My sister and I plan to open a bakery/pastry shop some time in the near future. Since I’ve been a student of The Hive I’ve learned so much about Rock Hill and I’ve reconsidered the whole moving out idea and even thought about opening our business here in Rock Hill, maybe even at Riverwalk once its complete.”

S.C. Superintendent of Education Mick Zais and Governor Nikki Haley, presented Patti Tate with the award Wednesday evening at a banquet at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. “Patti is a master teacher dedicated to creating an environment of high expectations for student achievement,” Zais said. “Her teaching philosophy centers on guiding her students to become independent, lifelong learners.”

Hive students from Winthrop and York Tech spoke with the Mayor about how participating in The Hive’s program has changed their perspective of Rock Hill, improved their networking skills, and further developed their design, marketing and programming skills.

Lisa had a lot of great things to say about Composite Resources, their positive involvement with Rick Norwood at RHEDC, and their plans for growth. Currently they are in a 52,000 SQ FT building and have broken ground on an additional 60,000 SQ FT building next door.  In an article posted on their site, Lisa Bennett says they are expanding in anticipation of rapid growth in the industry.

Rock Hill heating and air company Comfort Zone provides top notch service in sales, installation, and repair of all major heating and cooling brands while installing American Standard, York, and Geostar.  Their owners and partners have been in the heating and air conditioning business for a combined 40 years.  Comfort Zone of The Carolinas has been in business since 2005.

About the Situation

Comfort Zone of The Carolinas needed a clean professional and functional website that optimized their brand.  They wanted to increase their presence on the web, increasing and generating leads.  Another goal Comfort Zone wanted to accomplish was to develop a way to interact with the traffic coming to their site.

About the Solution

The finished product is a CMS (Content Management System) built in WordPress.  The WordPress platform offered the desired aesthetic as well as the ability for Comfort Zone staffers to make updates and changes to the site with relative ease.

We selected the elegant theme to meet the fresh web 2.0 look and intuitive navigation that Comfort Zone was seeking. The  web team designed a downloadable coupon as well as integrated an online pre-approval process for Comfort Zone customers’ convenience.

We also wrote optimized copy for the site pages, entered company information into relevant directory listings, such as Merchant Circle and Google pages to increase Comfort Zone presence on the web.  Taking advantage of growth opportunities for Comfort Zone, our web team added a  Rock Hill Geothermal section to the site.  Another great feature of the open source format is that it integrates well with SEO and optimization efforts.

The site went live and right into use for active Internet Marketing by the RevenFlo Web Team.

The Hive serves real clients to bolster the success of those organizations while using the work as curriculum to train students.

During their normal class time, Hive students presented the work they have worked on for their clients since the Hive kicked off in January.  Designing info graphics, creating color pallets, posting promotional videos, their experience working with a content management system and conducting interviews were just a few executed items the students discussed in their presentations.
