The International Center of York County (ICYC), established in 2003, has seen tremendous growth in the international community which it serves. Their programs, supporting outreach and advocacy, have been growing as well. Currently, ICYC is faced with the challenges of outgrowing their current website.
With a mission aimed to educate and empower, having a website that provides easy management of content and marketing versatility could greatly enhance their effectiveness. The Hive, in its third semester of operation, has students from York Tech and Winthrop University who are familier with the unique challenges …

The project is a win win for all. Hive students, under RevenFlo’s guidance, gain practical website design and development experience. RenewOC, with an improved website, will be able to better market their services online and ultimately empower community leaders to pool resources for those in need.

The Hive seems to have quickly gone from a pilot project in January 2011 to beginning its third semester in January 2012. Non-profits have certainly heard the buzz. This semester finds them lining up for professional internet marketing services Hive students are now known to provide.

In the creative process of designing, developing and marketing websites for our clients, the needs of our own RevenFlo website tend to take a back seat. Just as the cobbler’s children had no shoes, our website needed some outfitting. Enter Cindy Kelly.

Tyler Young quickly became the computer programing go-to-guy as a Hive student. His ability to problem solve technical difficulties made him a great asset to his classmates and, now, to the team at RevenFlo. With his knowledge, skill and savvy intuition as a developer, Tyler can create and troubleshoot while keeping our systems running at full capacity. Ryan Cody is a futurist. We first noticed his forward thinking creativity at The Hive as a Winthrop University student. During his Revenflo internship, Ryan continued to impress us with his ability to turn new ideas into workable solutions. His can-do enthusiasm and tireless search for possibilities brings a unique kind of energy to our work. Welcome to the team, Ryan!

RevenFlo sets aside a day to have a mission and vision retreat – though Michelle says we can’t call it a retreat because we did it at the office. Therefore, we called it RevenDay 2011. Either way, it was a refreshing and powerful team-building experience.
