We are proud to announce that RevenFlo has joined the Matthews Chamber of Commerce. Matthews is a great community, and we a proud to be represented there.

Web Marketing is a quickly growing service industry. RevenFlo has been serving small to mid-sized businesses and organizations of all kinds since 2004.

What is Web Marketing?

Web Marketing is basically using the Web to effectively communicate with your audiences. This may take the form of:

  • strategic planning
  • design and development
  • search engine marketing
  • online advertising management
  • social media management

So…

  • Do we build websites? – yes, we do
  • Can you get on the first page of Google? – yes, you can
  • Can you use social media in a productive way? – yes, you can

First you set goals and objectives, then you conduct strategic planning, then you execute projects to achieve desired outcomes. It’s not rocket science. It just takes hard work and constant innovation.

RevenFlo is your web team.

Where do I start? How SPECIFICALLY will the web benefit my organization?

We hear these kinds of questions all the time. What technologies will be employed? What kinds of services are we going to need? How will we employ them? And to what end? What kind of budgets and timelines are we talking about? And what does success look like?

Our answer is always the same. You must start somewhere.

Any effort you undertake will utilize:

  • skilled people
  • myriad technologies
  • innovative methodologies
  • best practices
  • management of people/services
  • tracking of analytics
  • measurement of progress

But you’ve got to get started somewhere. You need to dig in and understand what the web means to you and how you should approach it.

What is a micro-strategy?

A RevenFlo Micro-Strategy is a pretty casual thing. We meet with you. We listen to you and talk to you about your business, organization, or idea. We leave and put anywhere from 5-25 hours (per your direction) into an exploration of what success on the web looks like and how you will achieve it. We meet again and discuss.

Social Media for Small Business

Earlier this week I attended a seminar/lecture at Queens College in Charlotte.  The topic was Social Media Today.  Initially the topic itself caught my eye and then I saw who the speaker was, Joshua Benton, Director of the Nieman School of Journalism Lab at Harvard.  I could not pass up socialmedia-mashupon an opportunity to hear someone that is affiliated with Harvard speak about social media.

Social media is any form of online media where people are able talk, share, comment, network and bookmark online.    Read the rest of this entry »

sdwWhen I approached Revenflo about my website I had no idea how creative & resourceful they were. I was unhappy with my previous hosting experiences and simply looking for a new host. They opened a complete new way of handling my site from hosting and re-designing it, adding new features, creating more traffic and improving viewer loyalty—while mindful of the financial costs to me.

DivorceWisdom.com assists those overwhelmed with divorce regain balance, focus, and hope in life by handling a difficult season wisely. Jason and Chad met with me regularly to create a professional yet compassionate site providing valuable information to those hurting. They taught and encouraged me how to contribute to the process to reduce costs, yet were available at every step to take over or re-teach me when I was confused. The value they gave was four-fold what I expected initially. In two short months I see an increase in site traffic and favorable viewer response. My viewers stay on my site over seven minutes, read over five pages and my bounce rate is less than 45%. All thanks to RevenFlo.

You may have heard of Content Management Systems. You may not. Regardless, if you are involved in marketing on the Web in any way you have come to realize that CONTENT IS KING. If you don’t have a quality piece of content online, then you don’t have anything to market.

Gone are the days of thinking that a website is a billboard in cyberspace. That metaphor has been obliterated. The web is a place where people go to interact. THE WEB IS HAPPENING NOW. Right now! The content you publish and post and exchange and blog and tweet and hyperlink is the content that gives the web its tangible quality.

To achieve any goal on the web, you will need content. To create and manage content in a meaningful way, you need a plan and the right tools. But what does that plan look like and what are those tools?

We will discuss this topic on

  • Tuesday, Sept 8 – 4:30 – at Dilworth Coffee in Ballantyne Village
  • Wednesday, Sept 9 – 3PM – Augello’s Coffee House in Old Town Rock Hill

Be there to join us for a casual conversation and a beverage.

Thanks!

Using the Open Source Content Management System Wordpress, and a stellar theme from Felix of RichWP, we were able to install, launch and integrate a powerful system for the artist to use for publishing her work and engaging with an audience. From RevenFlo: “Sister, you have learned to use the tool so well, you will hopefully find much reward in the fluidity with which you can share work and interact with interested people through the web.”
