The unique work of Patrick Doughtery is in the making in Old Town Rock Hill. Patrick is based out of Chapel Hill, NC but has done wood installations across the globe since 1980. Beginning March 8th, he will spend three weeks at the Community Performance Center in Rock Hill constructing donated saplings into a large intricate shelter. He will work with volunteers throughout the process and interact with visitors who stop to take in his process.
There is a public presentation about his work scheduled March 11th at 7:30pm in City Hall’s Council Chambers. To learn more about the artist go to HIS SITE and check out the gallery of his previous installations. Kudos to the groups that worked together to make this happen. Check out the installation when you are in Old Town!
