American Leadership Forum Charlotte Region Buzzing with Help from Hive

American Leadership Forum (ALF) – Charlotte Region Chapter  is a non-profit organization that focuses on bolstering the local community.  Serving as a leadership mentoring organization,  ALF is supported by the Lee Institute of Charlotte, NC. ALF is committed to serving the public good by joining and strengthening established leaders through Fellow and Senior Fellow programs. Attracting new prospects to their very worthwhile program has become increasingly challenging due to limited marketing resources. The Hive in Rock Hill, SC is uniquely positioned to help the marketing efforts of non profits like ALF.

Students at The Hive, an education venture between York Tech, Winthrop University and RevenFlo Web Team, create high caliber, cost-free websites for local non profit organizations. RevenFlo founder, Jason Broadwater, himself an ALF alum, is well acquainted with the positive impact ALF has on local communities. For Jason, helping ALF increase their visibility became a personal passion. Introducing ALF to The Hive was a natural step.

As a local non profit, ALF qualified as a Hive client and began work with the program in January 2012. Indepth discussions between ALF and web professionals at RevenFlo, managers of Hive projects, identified specific marketing objectives and determined a web video project as offering the best solution to their marketing needs. Hive students will spend this semester interviewing several ALF Alumni leaders within the local 14-county region which covers parts of North and South Carolina. Videos will highlight pivotal roles ALF alumni hold within the local community. The web video project will personalize and greatly expand ALF’s visibility as well as  marketing capabilities.
