French Friday Treat

Hi there,

New in the web team, I already wanted to delight everyone’s taste by bringing one of my favorite dishes from home: the French crêpes. Those thinner pancakes, eaten during the night of Mardi Gras, are very famous in France and make the smile of every kid (it still does that to me). Sugar, Nutella, jam, honey, peanut butter, ham, mushrooms or even spinach…there are no restrictions when crêpes are involved!

The ingredients: (For about 30 crêpes)

-4 eggs

-1 and 1/2 cup of sugar

-5 cups flour

-4 cups milk

– 4 spoons of vegetable oil

– 1/2 spoon of cinnamon

– 1/2 spoon of ginger ground

– 1/2 spoon of nutmeg ground

In a large mixing bowl, mix the eggs and sugar. Put the milk and add slowly the flour to avoid lumps. Then add, three spoons of the vegetable oil, the cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg.

In a pan, put the last spoon left of vegetable oil and put 2 spoons of the mix previously made. Turn the crêpe with a spatula and wait until it has a caramel color.

My advice: add two spoons of Nutella when the crêpe is still hot, so the spread will directly melt on the crêpe. So yummy!

Bon Appetit!
