Online Video/Social Marketing Campaign

In 2020, Burkett Financial Services (BFS) celebrated their 20th anniversary. While remembering their past, they wanted to look into the future. In financial planning, you have to play the long game, which led us to the “20 Year Horizon” concept.

We worked with BFS to produce 12 videos to be published one per month throughout the year of 2020. The videos were divided into two groups. The first was a series of fictional narratives that cover 20 years of time each, each a little story of a chapter of someone’s life. The second group were interviews of the BFS team discussing their services, philosophies, and perspectives.

We distributed the videos and supporting content via the Burkett Financial Services LinkedIn page, utilizing a regular schedule so that content could be evenly distributed throughout the year. Finally, we set up a “Videos” page on their website where they could host the animated and interview videos, allowing them to act as evergreen content for people curious about financial planning.

The fact that their anniversary fell in 2020 led us to the “20 Year Horizon” concept. In financial planning, you have to play the long game, so we created a series of animated videos that each focused on hypothetical people who wanted to plan for the future, each with their own set of unique circumstances.

We also created a series of supporting interview videos which gave BFS a chance to further explain their services and educate potential clients. Video Stories

The centerpiece of the 20 Year Horizon marketing campaign was 4 animated fictional stories. These stories are narrated by families, couples, and individuals who want to plan for the future. We wrote scripts, created the original soundtrack, provided voice acting, and animated the visuals. Fun stuff!

Interview Videos

In addition to the animated videos, we created videos from interviews we conducted with the BFS staff. We created these videos to act as educational resources that potential clients could use to learn more about BFS, their approach to financial planning, and the people they may work with.

LinkedIn Social Posting

To gain more exposure for these videos and demonstrate that the company is active and thriving, we created a LinkedIn page and posted all the content we created. We also shared links to resources on the BFS website that could be helpful for potential clients.

Videos Page

In order to give all of this new content a permanent home on BFS’ website, we created an anchor page on BurkettFS.com where users could watch all of the videos. These videos can now act as a permanent marketing tool that will live on much longer than this 2020 marketing campaign.
