Old Town Rock Hill is the area from Winthrop University to the revitalizing downtown. It’s the cities urban core, and it’s a burgeoning walkable urban hub of technology projects / businesses and cultural amenities. In the center of it all is The Hive.
The Hive currently has two components:
- HiveU – which trains students from Winthrop University and York Technical College by building websites for non-profit organizations.
- Hive Business Center – which uses student intern services from York Technical College to provide low-cost marketing and other support services to local small businesses.
Coming the first of the year, there will be two more components added to the Hive:
- The Technology Incubator – which works with selected high-growth-potential, technology-oriented start-up companies and entrepreneurs.
- Cowork at The Hive – which provides low-cost, collaborative work space to independent contractors and entrepreneurs.
Jason Broadwater of RevenFlo gave the presentation and facilitated the discussion on the coming Cowork Space at The Hive in Old Town Rock Hill Thursday evening just before the kick off of Christmasville (voted four years in a row SC’s best event!).
The crowd of 32 were engaged in the discussion, and there were several prospects for tenants of the coming cowork space. If you’d like to inquire about the coming Cowork Space, please contact Jason Broadwater at 803-328-6033.
