Rock Hill, S.C. – A group of Winthrop Fine Art students have been offered an exciting opportunity by RevenFlo in their building located at 125 Caldwell St. RevenFlo has invited students to curate and organize temporary exhibitions in their store front property to be known as “The Space at 125.”
The first of these shows, entitled Delicious will run April 16 – 18, 2009. Student curators Molly Wise and David Matheson have selected two- and three-dimensional works which are thoughtful and whimsical as they exhibit the talents of advanced undergraduates in Winthrop’s Department of Fine Arts. Delicious includes works by Lexi Falk, Abby Fincannon, Anna Gail Hastings, Lila Shull, Megan Hackenberg, Rebecca Jane Hooper, George Howard, David Matheson, and Molly Wise. Participant George Howard stated, “It is going to be a great experience for all involved, not just for us but also the Rock Hill community.” The Winthrop Fine Arts Department is delighted to participate in community partnerships such as these, which showcase the range and caliber of student art work. These opportunities provide unique and engaging learning experiences for students and a chance for them to contribute to the energy and vitality of the downtown revitalization initiative.
Delicious will open April 16, 2009 with a reception and live music from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. This event is free and open to the public and located at 125 Caldwell St in downtown Rock Hill, S.C.
