The Hive, a collaborative of students from York Technical College and Winthrop University has begun its fall semester, which will see the creation of 3 new websites for area non-profits:
Taste of Fort Mill
This event brings together local restaurants and entrepreneurs to raise money in support of The Palmetto School, which provides a safe place for children who have been the victim of traumatic events to learn and find emotional recovery.
Freedom Montessori School
FMS in Rock Hill is private, non-profit school focused on a specific method of teaching, which emphasizes personal, independent growth and respect for community and self.
Clover Area Assistance Center
CACC is a non-profit center that provides help with food, financial, medical and dental services to those in need.
This is the sixth semester that students have come together under the umbrella of The Hive to design and develop websites for charitable, non-profit organizations.
