After more than a year of diligent work, we are so excited to announce the launch of AthensAchieves.com. We worked with the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce and Clarke County, GA, to create a community-wide job portal that is distinctly better than, and more comprehensive than, existing job portals in the area (or anywhere for that matter!). AthensAchieves.com offers a superior user experience, as well as integration of locally available social services in transportation, childcare, second chance programs, mental health, and more.
The large-scope, multi-year project is like nothing else in the marketplace. The website incorporates navigator-supported experiences for employers, candidates, and community partners. The site refers people to needed community-based assistance programs that support successful employment. And the system generates meaningful data for the public sector, such as identifying lack of both technical and soft skills, lack of transportation options, and lack of childcare providers that are hindering local success in achieving full employment.
